It’s About the Journey

It's about the journey

For someone like me, who is directionally challenged, the GPS was one of the most amazing inventions that has come along in my lifetime. I use it religiously in my line of work, and pretty much anywhere I go outside of my local area. In life however, we really only need to put in one address, Heaven, and follow our Fathers voice as He, turn by turn, leads us to our final destination. Yes, for much of the trip we will feel lost, as we travel down roads we have never been. But, one thing that is for sure; if we will allow the Holy Spirit to guide us, we NEVER have to worry about getting lost, because He surely knows where we are going; why? Because He is already there, just waiting for us to arrive, so we can spend eternity together.

Once we know where we are going, and trust our God will lead us there, it then becomes about the journey, and who we are blessed to take the trip with. Jesus said in John 10:10 that He came that we would have life, and an abundant one at that. The truth is, we love traveling the world, and have done as much as my Angel’s health will allow. But, it really doesn’t matter whether we are cruising the Caribbean or flying to the Cancer Treatment Center, we treat them both as just another adventure on this amazing journey the Lord has us on. As long as my Angel is by my side, this is an amazing life, and one I am eternally grateful for.

So, this morning I would like to encourage you to take the time to enjoy this amazing life we have been given. No, it is not always perfect, but it is what we make of it. Our attitude towards life’s challenges can make or break us. So, be thankful for the gift of life, then be thankful for those we are blessed to share it with. As for me, my cup runneth over, and no matter where this road leads, I know in the end where our destination lies; and what a blessing it is to know I will spend eternity with the one I was blessed to share this amazing journey with.

Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:18

From my heart to yours!
