When you stop to think about it, out of the 7 billion people on this planet, God will put that ONE special person, He created especially for us, right in our path. Wow! Yes, that is how much He loves us. But, when we find that special someone, we better hold on tight, because I can assure you the devil will do everything possible to tear apart what God has brought together. Why? Because He knows that relationship is key to us experiencing the life God intended us to have. Why do you think there is so much adultery within Christian marriages? The devil knows just how to pray on our weaknesses, and when we are the most vulnerable, we can count on that temptation to present itself. Oh, how many men and women have fallen prey to his schemes. The way we protect ourselves, is to protect our hearts. Jesus tells us in Matthew 6:21, “Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be.” So, above all, treasure that ONE gift God gave us more than anyone or anything on this earth.

Friends, Jesus tells is in Mark 10:9, “Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” So, we must do everything in our power to protect, protect, protect our marriages. If we are too busy for our mate, I can assure you, the devil has our replacement just waiting for the opportunity to ruin both of our lives. This is why the single most important thing in our lives, after our relationship with the Lord, MUST be our relationship with our spouse. We put ANYTHING else in it’s place, we can count on a very disappointing outcome.

Today, let me challenge you to evaluate your situation. First and foremost, do you seek Him first? (Matthew 6:33) and second, is your spouse a PRIORITY in your life? Both of these can be easy fixes, but they can also be very difficult depending on the damage that has been done in the relationships. But, the ONLY way to fix either, is to realize we MUST make a commitment to our relationships; to make them the two most important things in our lives. Because I can guarantee you, your happiness in this life depends on it. But, the truth is, If you get the first one fixed, you really don’t have to worry about the other, because it will fix itself. I am here to tell you there is NOTHING more amazing than being madly in love with both God, and the gift He gave us. These two relationships ARE the key to our happiness, and the very things that make this life worth living.

From my heart to yours!
